Woven Top Chest

Crafted in the style of Chinese furniture, this petite storage chest is the perfect place to stow cords, toys, blankets, or anything you want stored beautifully. The square trunk features a glossy, black lacquer finish and a woven lidded top reinforced with a wooden panel. The corners are seamed with simple dovetail joints and classic brass hardware accents the dark finish. Side brackets were fastened to the sides of the box to facilitate strap handles. The front is accented with a decorative maker’s mark of hand-painted archaic characters atop a red square.
