Chrysanthemum Stone

Formed millions of years ago, chrysanthemum stones are appreciated for their naturally occurring celestine crystals. Emerging from the dark stone, these crystals resemble chrysanthemum blossoms, symbols of autumn, endurance, and longevity. Our stonemasons in China's Shandong province worked and polished this specimen to accentuate the crystals in subtle relief. It is best to appreciate chrysanthemum stones indoors, as the rock's black field is a soft shale-like material and will chip if kept outdoors in extreme or icy conditions.
