This unique pot was made by hand in southern China, and is a wonderful example of blue and white ceramics that are sought worldwide by collectors. The scene wraps around the entire pot and is painted in rich blue feathery brushstrokes. The figures are Chinese scholars engaged in yagi drinking games: two men stroll in a garden, while others seem to be involved in a lively game of Weiqi. Its wide mouth form was intended to hold painted scrolls but wonderfully suits potted plants today.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
