This early 20th century lattice window panel likely originated in a northern Chinese home with neutral and balanced interiors. Both functional and decorative, lattice windows allowed for fresh air and light to flow into a room while still maintaining privacy. Set within a square frame, this lattice panel has a repeating puzzle-like design created by carefully interlocking small wooden pieces to form a dizzying geometric pattern. The lattice is further decorated with floral carvings of four-petal flowers and the occasional chrysanthemum. For added dimension, we’ve backed the lattice panel with mirror glass for use as an unexpected wall mirror.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
