Called phoenix tail for its graceful, flared top, the form of vase dates to China’s Bronze Age, but the look is decidedly 20th century. Made in 1920 in China's Zhejiang province, the vase’s graphic and curvilinear vine design was influenced by Art Deco, a style that was brought to China by Europeans during the economic boom at the turn of the century. With its beautifully preserved vibrant orange and luxe gilded finish, this stunning vase will take center stage wherever it’s displayed.
