Constructed in China's Hebei province, this early 20th century noodle cabinet is unusual for its tall, narrow stature. Known as a “noodle cabinet” for the rounded wood molding that outlines its doors, the cabinet has a timeless design, with clean lines and balanced proportions. Teardrop brass pulls provide subtle ornamentation and contrast against the contemporary cinnabar lacquer finish. Simple and strikingly modern, the cabinet would easily blend into a contemporary home for linen, towel, or office storage.
