Made of northern Elmwood, this petite 19th-century two-door cabinet was likely created as a carpenters sample to show how joinery and timbers come together in a traditional Chinese wedding dowry cabinet. The original brass plate that would have been a poignette center has been replaced by two simple handmade brass pulls some time during its 200 year life. A wonderful charm, the cabinet might also be useful as jewelry or keepsake box.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
