In its original use, the central shelf would have sat open to display a small deity. The flanking drawers would have held all of the necessary accoutrements for worship. Our carpenters, skilled in traditional methods, elongated the legs to make it more functional for today. The negative space framed by the hoof feet and slim legs encourage the eye up to the body of the piece. These traditional design aesthetics contribute simplicity and lightness to any modern context.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
