This early 20th century cultural revolution poster is a woodcut, an ancient form that was given new life by young artists trying to create a new style that derived neither from the West or elitist Chinese art. It is an authentic piece of history depicting Mao Ze Dong, Chinese national flags, and armies of comrades. During this period of time in China, propaganda art was one of the most important ways of spreading communist party ideology. It has been thoughtfully framed under plexiglass.

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
