Created in China's Shanxi province, this table would have originally been used in a Qing-dynasty home as an incense stand, for serving wine or for displaying potted landscapes or other collectibles. It has developed a proud presence that is only achieved through life's natural progression, this is most apparent in the sophisticated bead detail on the face of the panels. Use marks earned over the last 150 years bring depth and character to the top. The double drawers and hidden compartment most likely held precious objects, kept safe by the hand-wrought brass latches.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
