This early 20th century white glazed ceramic pedestal has very unusual form. It was made by an artisan in Southern China and features an hourglass shape and highly dimensional floral cutouts. It was likely used in a garden for incense, tea or plants but, today, would work well indoors or out. In twenty years, we have never seen others in this proportion and shape.
