Crafted by an artisan of China's Hebei province in the early 20th century, this square table borrows its design from the classic feng deng, which translates literally to square stool. Set upon narrow round legs, the exquisite elmwood table has a stacked apron and rounded humpback stretchers designed to resemble a strip of bamboo wrapped around the four legs. Beautifully balanced and cloaked in a dark lacquer, this square table is wonderful as a side or corner table.
