This early 20th century refined stool is carved from feathery-grained chicken-wing wood, or jichimu, prized and now extremely rare. It features cabriole legs, an elegantly carved apron and a top woven in a refined and ancient technique. The stool is masterfully joined together with traditional mortise and tenon construction.
