This beautiful blackwood chair was crafted a century ago in Shanghai, a bustling port city that was at the forefront of taste and influence in Chinese culture during the early 20th century. Made in the style of Art Deco, the striking, geometric forms of these chairs are decorated with intricate carvings, reminiscent of the scrollwork and auspicious symbols seen in traditional Chinese woodworking.
