Shanxi Bench

Over 150 years ago, this elegant, Elmwood bench was made in the Shanxi region of China, where it probably sat in the home of a Qing Dynasty aristocrat. Today, this bench can be seen as statement piece: its gently tapered legs, distinctive cloud spandrels, and remnants of red lacquer finish that add character to this lovely antique.
