Pair of Collectors' Bookcases

This pair of antique bookcases looks surprisingly contemporary with its asymmetrical shelves and clean-lined design. Likely centerpieces in the studio of a 20th century Chinese scholar, the elegant bookcases would have showcased books, scrolls, precious antiques, calligraphy brushes, and other writing materials.
