Since closets were not a part of traditional Chinese homes, cabinets were essential for storage. Featuring perfectly proportioned, carved panel doors, hand-forged brass hardware and intricate wood-on-wood joinery, this pair of elegant compound cabinets would store clothing in the very finest of Chinese homes. Divided into two compartments, the stop shelf was used for hats or out-of-season clothing and everyday garments were kept in the bottom section. With its clean lines and timeless contours, this cabinet finds storage opportunities beyond the bedroom, stowing books, linens and even toys.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
