"Orange Drips" Mosaic by Toyoharu Kii

Artist Toyoharu Kii’s striking work, "Orange Drips", is a beautiful example of his experimental and thought provoking approach to making mosaics. He explains his inspiration for this mosaic, “This blue world reminds me of a town at night. Orange Drips makes me imagine some lonely people in that scene.” As one of the pioneers in Japan’s mosaic community his work inspires not only collectors, but burgeoning artists exploring this time-honored medium.
