The rich orange, red, green, and blue hues are still incredibly vibrant in this sacred Tibetan thangka painting. At this center is the figure of an important multi-armed deity called Chakrasamvara seated on a lotus blossom throne. The painting is beautifully framed in hand stitched, antique fabric panels. Thangka artists worked for private patrons or monasteries and the paintings were commissioned to help a person meditate or as a form of prayer.
