Created by Beijing-based artist Deng Ying exclusively for PAGODA RED, this limited edition hand-painted apothecary jar is one of a series playfully drawing on the Chinese tradition of blue-and-white porcelain. Fired at the historic Chinese imperial kilns of Jingdezhen, this petite jar is painted with a cheerful woman preparing a meal outdoors, perhaps to share. A pine tree branch adorns the jar's opposite side, a traditional symbol of longevity, and a small censer tops the lid. This one-of-a-kind container is signed and presented in a hand-made cushioned wood presentation box.
