"Almost Chance" Kite by Michael Thompson

“Almost Chance” comes from Chicago artist Michael Thompson's most recent kite collection. Inspired by the writings of Philip K. Dick, Thompson plays with interactions of the contemporary with the future. Creating a canvas of split bamboo and stretched muslin, he collages bits of paper into an abstract composition of shapes, symbols, and patterns. Building on over a decade of internationally exhibited kite art, Thompson's most recent works were featured in a highly anticipated upcoming television series.
