This pair of courtyard panels with geometric lattice screens call to mind an aristocratic provincial Chinese home with neutral and balanced interiors. Generally, homes of the officials or people of status in 18th and 19th century China were lofty. As these panels are particularly tall, it is likely that they came from a family with notable status. Creating lattice was a geometric puzzle; this diamond pattern was made by the precise interlocking of long and short pieces of carved wood.

Dimensions listed describe an individual panel.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
