Art Deco design was the perfect juncture of groundbreaking European modernism and Ming-dynasty refinement. Created in the West during the 1920s, the design movement was embraced by Chinese artisans who admired the style’s simple geometry and flowing lines. Made of prized rosewood, this exquisite side table was made in Shanghai around 1930. Squared edges meet curved lines, flowing seamlessly from apron to leg and up again to form a lower shelf. Rooted in history yet timeless in appeal, this stunning table is in excellent condition.
