Hand-sculpted by an artisan from China's Jiangxi province, this contemporary standing vase pays colorful tribute to the time-honored style of wucai ware. Translated as “five-color,” wucai was an innovation of the Ming dynasty that employed several enamel-like glazes to create brilliantly colored ceramics. A colorful departure from traditional blue-and-white porcelain, this vase is decorated with a lively scene of fish swimming amid ocean fauna. The whimsical design offers blessings of wealth, abundance, and the contented harmony of a fish in water.

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
