In Japan, the vessel from which you drink is as important as the taste. Preparing and savoring tea was a meditative ritual, and up until the 15th century tea was mainly drunk from bowls of this shape. Such bowls were appreciated not only for how they look but also for how they feel in the hand. These petite glazed tea bowls were hand-formed exclusively for PAGODA RED by an artisan in Colorado, honoring the long tradition with a contemporary design.

Due to their hand made nature, each tea bowl will vary slightly in size and glaze pattern.
