This spearhead was once attached to a long bamboo pole to create the formidable lang xian spear, comparable to a medieval European pike. Especially formidable when held by an army of foot soldiers, the long spear kept enemies from getting close and could be launched to slow down approaching cavalries. Crafted in the Ming dynasty, this spear was a necessary weapon in battling the rebellions that plagued northern China during this period. Sleek, powerful, and wonderfully graphic, we let the spearhead speak for itself, elevated on a simple steel stand.
