Miniature Roundback Chair

A full size chair with this level of workmanship would be an incredible find, but this beautiful piece of furniture—at only six inches tall—is perfectly constructed down to the tiniest minutia. The chair was made in Northern China out of Huanghuali, a wood prized by furniture makers for its distinctive grain and incredible strength. The joinery techniques, horseshoe crab backrest and clean lines all impeccably reflect the best Chinese furniture design.
