A special place to store jewelry, collected finds, love letters or even the everyday office supply, this lock box from Jiangsu province dates from around 1850. Made of cedar, the box is lacquered in rich oxblood, a color known for its deep hues frequently compared to the color of fine merlot. Accented with recessed carving on the lid and fortune-promising ruyi hardware, the box is a beautiful storage piece for the office or bedroom.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
