Petite Trailing Vine Altar Coffer

A functional work of art, this petite altar coffer exemplifies extraordinary Chinese craftsmanship. The everted top adds structure to the apron intricately carved with a delicate, trailing vine motif. The table would have originally been used as storage in a woman's sleeping quarters. Our carpenters, skilled in traditional methods, elongated the legs to make it more functional for today.
