Sunny and bright, this early 20th century garden seat is bursting with life. Intricately decorated in high relief, the ceramic stool bears cartouche panels of lotus flowers, symbols of purity, and peony blossoms, symbols of love and affection. A pattern of boss-head nails rings the top and bottom, resembling those used to stretch the skin on an actual drum, and two guardian protectors serve as decorative handles. Cloaked in a vibrant apricot glaze, the stool lends beautiful warmth and vitality to its surroundings, and can be used as a low seat or side table indoors or out.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
